Through her faith in Jesus, Ann has the gift of finding hope in the darkest of places. As the daughter of a mother living with alcoholism as well as the mother of a young woman in recovery from addiction, Ann has seen the destruction in a seemingly lifeless glass bottle of liquor. But when this broken and discarded glass is refined by the explosion of salt water and the grinding of sand, its sharp edges are softened and is molded into a strong and unique treasure.

And so it is with us, as we are transformed and Made Anew through our most painful trials. “We rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that the suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.”
